my life journal

I know I don’t “look” or “act” like a “smart” person but that doesn’t make me “stupid”. Today after my night class I went to the library and started on my online homework. My brother texts me to go down to the second floor of the library where they were staying so I could help his girlfriend who was taking Anatomy for her lab test ( which I took last Spring ). I said okay and I went there. She was talking to me and told me how one of her older sister and her boyfriend ( who both are going for the Nursing Program as well) said she was going to Fail the class. I asked her if they said that seriously and they said yes. Then she told me that they said she was “kissing my ass” because I was helping her study for the exam and because she listened to the things I told her to study and not what they said. The things she said that they said about me made me feel like they were calling me “dumb” so I was kinda irritated at that. Because one, they barely even know me, what gives them the right to say that to me? I honestly thought we were all mature adults and friends but I guess not. 

I guess they are saying that my brother’s girlfriend is going to fail because when they took the class the first time they failed it and they don’t think she is as smart as they are so she is going to fail too. This makes no sense to me. For them to be older than me and still acting this way is ridiculous. So when I heard this, I admit, I was kinda pissed off. But I’ve settled down, and took situation for me push even harder to do better. I’m not going to stoop to their level and say things like they are “dumb” and “stupid”. I’m going to show them that I am smart and good enough to get into the Nursing Program, just sit back and watch me.
